yes...snow...SO over it. Why is it snowing in March in Atlanta? I mean come on.
Yesterday I had to dash through the snow (ok...my mom drove but still) over to the OB for a little ol' visit. Just a check-up...no biggie, but did I mention it was snowing? Yuck!
Ok...enough about the snow.
Here's a summary of the visit...
1. Check in downstairs. Beg the lady to take my money so I would be paid in full for the "pre-payment of delivery services". Lady swears up and down that I owe nothing and that I have a $30 credit. I know this is wrong, but get tired of arguing. Whatever...I will "fight" that battle next time.
2. Check in upstairs. Leave "sample". Pat myself on back for drinking more water based on the color of said specimen in cup. Gross...but don't act like you don't know what I am talking about.
3. Weight and blood pressure. Decide from here on out I am going "nakey" on the scale, because it is definitely my clothes that make me move that stupid thing to the right. Blood pressure pretty good (125/64)...not as elevated as last time.
4. Wait F-O-R-E-V-E-R for the ultrasound tech. I mean seriously...what is the point of making an appointment? Finally go to U/S and see my little babies. All is right with the world.
5. U/S tech says my babies have big heads. (My husband "joked" they are definitely my kids. I "joked" back to the hilarious husband that the U/S tech also said the little boy has a small penis...definitely his child. Husband not laughing anymore...but I on the other hand find my "little" joke pretty amusing. ***Note...totally a joke...the U/S tech said no such thing.***)
6. Placenta has moved away from the cervix which means a vaginal delivery might be possible. But, Parker is still breech so we are still planning on the c-section.
7. Parker's estimated weight was 4 lbs 2 oz and Caroline's was 3 lbs 15 oz. Not too shabby!
8. See Doctor #3 as part of the rotation...spend all of 2 minutes with her. Annoying. Tell her about my few contractions. Normal. Tell her about my pubic pressure. Normal. Tell her about the horrible pains in my inner thigh where I can't even lift my legs sometimes. Normal. Tell her I feel like my legs and "area" are like a Thanksgiving wishbone being pulled apart. Normal (take Ty.lenol). Take off my socks and show her the swelling in my legs and ankles. Normal.
She basically said "You're pregnant. With twins. It's normal." And walked out the door.
But hey...normal is good right?
9. Scheduled my next appointment with Doctor #4...who looks like he is a 12-year-old man-child who may also be an ice-dancer.
10. Went home...not in snow, but in wintry mix. Yuck again.
11. Took a fabulous nap.
12. Watched hubby and sissy put up crib #2.
Life is good.
Tomorrow, I will begin interviewing potential candidates to take my place at work. (In 1 week over 50 people applied for my supply teacher position!) I hope to start working half-days in the very near future...so hopefully I will find "the one" this week!

Yes....Life IS good. :-) and normal.
Normal is good! All good things (well, except the turkey wishbone...that sounds very painful!). When is your due date again? Sounds like babies are getting big and strong.
