Snow Day Plans

Woot-woot! Yet another perk of being a teacher. A dusting of snow and school is out in the ATL. So what am I going to do (besides finally putting away the rest of the Christmas decorations)?

I am going to try to come up with a decorating plan for the nursery!

Here are somethings we like so far...

Cribs (on clearance from J.CPe.nney)...similar to this one, but white and only $150 each! They should be in...hopefully we can pick them up this weekend.

Bedding (on sale from P.ottery Barn Kids)...in light pink and light blue. Just gotta pick some coordinating crib sheets.

Changing Table Dresser...I have been stalking C.raigslist for one of these...I want to have this lady from "Rethunk Junk" (whose blog I also stalk) paint one for me.

TV...should I say...Nick's TV for the wall.

Glider...our dream upholstered glider recliner...in a similar chocolate colored fabric. Nick really wants the recline function. (You know for when he is watching the flat screen in the nursery and feeding these babies!) We may have to be a little more practical and go with a glider like this one blog friend "Hope in Virginia" purchased. It is so cute...and I love a bargain!

Wall Color and Decals...this is still up in the air and hopefully a decision will be made this weekend. I really like the combo in this pic of the dark chocolate walls and these white decals. My sister and I decided they were a little too girly though. I also like I lighter colored wall with perhaps this tree, or this tree, or this monogram, or maybe this one. I also thought this one might be good right as you walk in to the door...just a little reminder! So darn cute...all of it!

Window Treatments...I also like these curtains from Pottery Barn Teen (but trimmed in coffee)...lots of white and chocolate...and we will accent in pinks and blues.

We better get busy...I don't want to have to mess with all of this the bigger I get. I am getting big enough already!

Nice snow day! I wish we got one of those! I love your decoration choices. I have to say I have the 2nd tree you had listed in my babies room with little birdies on it (you can see it on my blog, I posted it a while back). I am also doing the pottery barn bedding but in the bright pink. I have found a lot of coordinating sheets that match. Have fun on you r snow day!

Hi! Cute ideas friend!

Have you been to the baby furniture store near Town Center Mall? It's close to Abbadabba's (the shoe store)... I think it's called "Kids Space" or something like that.

Anyway, we got a rocker for Hannah's room (with the ottoman) for about $250.00, I think. Maybe even less. It was on super sale. The only bad part - it's really narrow, so trying to nurse a baby (much less two, if you plan to nurse) might be a little challenging. But it's definitely worth going to look at - we were looking at some more pricier ones (around $700 or so), and this just made the most sense financially).

Good luck!

I loved checking out all the links to your ideas (especially the glider, haha!). I really like the bedding and your color choices. We are planning to do the wall decals, too. I found cute elephants that kind of match our bedding (http://www.vinylwallart.com/elephant.html). And I loved that Rethunk Junk site - is that somewhere nearby you? Wish I could find a place like that near where I live. All very exciting and a great way to spend a snow day. Happy Planning!
