Update #3

We had our Egg Retrieval Sunday!

It was rather uneventful, but man I was S-O-R-E all day long. At one point, I almost passed out, but because I didn't want to have to be picked up off the bathroom floor with my pants around my ankles...I fought it off. Yeah me!

I was so thankful to my mom for bringing over a heating pad and some eggs. I desperately needed something in my system (of course high protein to help fight the possible hyperstimulation) and the heating helped with the pain. They were the best unsalted scrambled eggs I have had ever! I was also situated on the bed all day with two pillows propped under my knees to simulate the fetal position. Ah...much better.

Ok...I know I know...get to the good stuff.

They were able to retrieve 15 eggs!

I thought that was a pretty good number...and so did Dr. Love! I was so happy that he was able to do the retrieval.

I decided to take the day off from work...I was still pretty achey and needed a good night's sleep. Plus, I didn't want to have to take a phone call from the surgery center and then take the fertilization report in front of high school seniors. No thanks.

So...got the phone call this morning.

15 eggs
14 fertilized (1/2 ICSI and 1/2 conventional)
and now we have...

13 embryos!

We are shooting for a Day 5 Blastocyst transfer which will be this Friday...if not we will head in for a Day 3 transfer on Wednesday.

Come on little embryos! You can do it!

Please continue to pray for us...we are so thankful for your love and support!

Hi - just read your comment on my blog.. and yes! I do remember your DH in the waiting room. You're right... very small world! I adore the clinic & my Dr. I was hoping for a 5 day, but have to accept it wasn't meant to be. I wish you very good luck & hope we both have exciting news to celebrate in about 12 days. :)
