- My 4th wedding anniversary was last Thursday. It also coincided with my "blogoversary" (Murgdan...borrowing your term). I cannot believe that I have been blogging about my infertility for a year now. I cannot believe that we have been really trying to have a baby for 3 years. Wow...time flies.
- Two friends have gotten BFPs this summer. Stop over and say congrats to A Few Good Sperm and Divine Secrets of the Infertility Sisterhood.
- We do have new additions to our household. My brother-in-law, Chris, has been redeployed to Iraq. He is currently training in the American desert before heading to the Iraqi desert. In the meantime, his wife and their two kids (6m and 18m) have come to live with us. It really has been kinda neat having them in the house. They are super sweet kids and we are glad to be able to develop a relationship with them. Please continue to pray for our troops and Chris' safe return home.
- All systems are go...consent forms signed, bloodwork done, samples analyzed, money paid. It looks like this might actually happen. I am filled with excitement and anxiety, hope and fear. It is like riding the "big kid" rollercoaster for the first time...I am no longer riding the "Mini-Mi.ne Tr.ain"...I am now fastened into the "Scr.eam Mac.hine" and I am about to leave the station. As I wait for my turn, I can hear the "clink clink clink" of the chain as others are pulled up that giant hill before me...the excitement and anxiety is almost unbearable. I can hear laughter and crying...I can see smiles and tears. I sit wondering...how will my first experience with this ride turn out?
At least I can take comfort in knowing that it will not be spent with my head buried in my cousin's sweaty-teenage-boy-armpit...I have my husband for that.

I think your ride will be FABULOUS. And blogoversary is not my term...so no worries there. Happy blogoversary and good luck on the riiiiiiiiiide!
Let the ride begin! It's an overwhelming, exciting, fast, furious, emotion-stricken, and wonderful all at the same time! Lots of good thoughts and prayers coming your way!!!!!
Thanks for the shout out! I'm so excited for your ride to begin. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you the entire time.
Let the good times begin! I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. One of my friends who went through IVF gave me some advice awhile back - while it seems almost counter-intuitive, try to enjoy the "ride" because it will all seem like a blur a few years down the road when you're chasing a 2 year old around the house :) Here's praying for a smooth, fun ride that ends right where you want it to end!
I think your ride will be awesome. And, you can have my sweaty pit if you need it :)
We got pregnant on our first IVF. It can happen, just think of your uteres as your baby palece. Are you doing acupuncture? I honestly feel that is what got us a positive.
