Good news...I passed the 1 hour glucose screen! Yay for no gestational diabetes!
Bad news...I am still extremely anemic. Boo.
So...bad news means continue on the iron and add iron rich foods to my diet. I suppose the doctor telling you to eat a steak isn't really all that bad of news. I suppose I will also stock up on some spinach and some iron fortified cereal.
Did you have any iron-rich favorites?
Other than the anemia (which today after I talked to the nurse seemed to make me feel even more lethargic...maybe it isn't just in my head after all) this pregnancy is going really well. It is hard to believe 28 weeks have gone by already...how fast time flies. I actually lost a pound this week, but I am measuring a week ahead...which makes me think of the line from the movie K.nocked Up...
"You must be angry at the baby whenever it steals your food, huh. Ohh that's mine, not yours. But, you know, because you're family you gotta share. "
Something tells me this is going to be a really big baby...we shall see.
So...now I am off to the OB every 2 weeks. Craziness.
C-section is scheduled for June 24th...day before our anniversary. (I wonder if the hospital will serve us a special "anniversary" dinner...yum.)
I am a little anxious about actually going into labor before then...never did that with P and C...I mean what if my water breaks? Aughhhhh!
I also am very eager to make breastfeeding work this time around...come on milk supply! Again...we shall see.
Party planning mode is in full swing...I may skip the Friday post due to party prep...but I will be sure to post plenty of photos from P and C's 1st Birthday Party!

28 weeks!! Wow! I guess I had forgotten that you are that far along. Holy cow! You're almost 3/4 through. Have fun planning the 1st birthday party - we just had Emma's and, while she had no clue what was going on, it was still sweet.
17 weeks here with my surprise baby #3 as well. Insane how fast this is all going. Interested in hearing if it was a decision to have another c-section or basically a definite from the get-go. Had a c-section last May with the twins and going to attempt a vaginal with this baby due in Sept. VERY tough trying to find a Dr that will do a VBAC.....but I'm continuing the search.
You sound like a very busy gal! Can't wait to read more about the party!
