Something to Fix?

Bloodwork came back today. Everything is in the normal range except for one thing.

Protein C. Apparently my levels are too low.

What is Protein C you might ask?

Well according to the best on-line fake encyclopedia...
Protein C deficiency is a rare genetic disorder that predisposes to venous thrombosis and habitual abortion.

In other words...I'm a clotter.
(Maybe...more follow-up bloodwork Thursday.)
I suppose it's good to be a clotter in most cases, but apparently bad to be a clotter if you are trying to get an embryo to implant into your uterus.

So of course I get the nurse to play a game of "20 Questions" with me.
(Hey I have to know what to type in to Google as soon as I get off the phone.)

Top 3 Questions:
1) What is considered to be normal levels of Protein C? 74-151
2) What is my level? 69.
3) How is it treated? Depends...baby aspirin to Heparin injections.

So...we may have something to fix. Here's hoping it is an easy one.

Doesn't sound to difficult to fix...I have heard of that before. Baby aspirin is used with IVF anyhow so hopefully that's all you'll need!

Hum...well, its good to know something, at least. Sounds like they can do something to help, too. Have you ever taken baby aspirin before?

Hey! When we were going through our first cycle of IVF (growing eggs), I took a baby aspirin everyday as part of my regiment. It wouldn't surprise me if they don't have you do the same. So hopefully that will resolve the problem!

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow at your yard sale!
