The Happiest Place on Earth

After reading about the adventures of my friends over at Babies Squared taking their twin boys to Disneyworld...I was inspired to write about another "Happiest Place on Earth".

This past weekend the babies and I loaded up the car (well I loaded and they were loaded) and headed out to a playdate.

Our very first "official" playdate...with mommies...and babies. And they were special mommies...and special babies.

This playdate group used to be a different kind of group. It used to be an infertility support group...and you know...it really still is. We used to meet for dinner just to be around like-minded people who were all hurting and struggling and battling infertility. They were (and are) some of the most special people I have ever met.

You might know some of them...Tara and Molly, Murdgan and Gabriel, and another good friend and her little baby girl were there too. All infertiles...sitting in Tara's living room...holding and playing and laughing...with our babies.

And for a moment...it was the happiest place on Earth.

Awww. How perfect. I wish I had people that lived nearby that I could have the same experience with.

Got a little teary with this post...what an amazing thing to go through this journey with other women who are in the same boat!!! I guess that's the reason why we blog...but to have some gals who you can actually hang out with is very special!!

Wow, that's awesome. I didn't know that so many of the people who write blogs that I follow live so close together. Very very cool.

Aww, I love the support and friendship you all have shared through the wanting-a-baby to having-babies phase.

And at times, i think I would have preferred to be at your Happiest Place. The other place creeps me out just a weee bit.
